24 Hour Unplug Challenge

During my 24 hour unplug challenge I was at work, I work as a camp counselor in Lake Arrowhead so these pictures are from work. During my unplugged time I only took my phone to take pictures such as these or to make phone calls/text messages to colleges throughout the day for planning reasons. During my time unplugged, with the families that were up at camp we went on a small hike after breakfast to get the food down where I found the heart made of pinecones which I thought was super cute. Later we went to the park where there is this beautiful view of a reservoir and the Arrowhead mountains. Later, while at camp I saw a blue jay which often there are two that rome around our camp group Im sure looking to feed off our food. Then, the picture of the sunset was taken by my passenger while I was driving, I thought it was very beautiful. Overall, during this time unplugged I thought because I was at work and I was surrounded by people and nature it was relatively easy. Usually when Im at work I don't like to be on my phone because I like to really take in my environment while I'm there. Not being on my phone led me to feel very connected with everything that was going on, allowed me to really be in tune with my environment and I would 100% recommend this to others. This connected to what Im learning in class because it demonstrated to me the natural artwork around us. The environment is a piece of artwork and taking time to get off our devices and truly appreciate it is so deeply important.
